Purpose and application of model waxes

Ultracast WAX-model wax of the Russian production on the basis of synthetic polymers and natural waxes. It is used in the manufacture of models of castings by the method of precise casting.

Model waxes Ultracast® WAX, in contrast to the standard Russian models used in metallurgy, have a number of advantages, such as good filling of molds and their clear reproduction, high fluidity, lack of interaction with mold materials and refractory coatings, low adhesion to the surface molds, tool and worker's hands, good wetting with refractory slurry, high strength characteristics, good elasticity, small and stable shrinkage, low thermal expansion, regeneration possible and restoration of spent waxes, minimum ash content. Also one of the main advantages of Ultracast® WAX model wax is a high rate of solidification, which significantly affects the productivity increase when models are inhibited. The company "Technopark" developed and serially made three modifications Ultracast® WAX:

  • Ultracast® WAX-L non-filled wax is applicable for the manufacture of elements of a sprue system, and models of a non-complex configuration
  • Ultracast® WAX-S filled wax is suitable for the manufacture of complex models of small and medium size.
